Mr Mahmud is a fantastic consultant, clearly leading the profession in all areas of knee surgery. I felt in safe hands from my first appointment with Mr Mahmud and the care he and the Spire Regency hospital gave to me was first class. I am now 5 months post op, back at work part time as a vet and helping with all aspects of working life on my family farm. I’m still receiving physio therapy treatment but can be sure that I will have full function in my knee in the future. Thank you Mr Mahmud.

Following on from an accident 2 years earlier, Mr. Mahmud performed a total knee replacement on what was a damaged and very arthritic right knee. 3 months on from my surgery I’m making a very good recovery with no complications and couldn’t be more satisfied. From my first consultation through to surgery and post operative care, Mr. Mahmud has been wonderful. I think he’s a very talented surgeon who is extremely pleasant and a total professional who always put my care above anything else. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I was completely comfortable right from start to finish with the care and attention I received from Mr Mahmud. The outcome is excellent, and I now walk, at 4 months post op, without the limp and the pain which I had previously. It was very reassuring to have the second post op follow up at 4 months. I would fully recommend Mr Mahmud if I was asked for opinion on an orthopeadic surgeon.

I had been experiencing increasing pain and discomfort in my left hip and my GP eventually referred me to a specialist of my choice. I randomly chose the Spire Regency in Macclesfield. My first appointment at the Spire was to discuss my problem and this was when I first met Mr Mahmud. He examined me and concluded I needed a total hip replacement. He explained the procedure in simple terms, described the recovery process and outlined the potential risks of this operation. This would be my first operation at the age of 77 and I have always had a fear of having an operation. However the discussions and explanations provided by Mr Mahmud gave me full confidence in him and what was to be done. Mr Mahmud visited me just prior to the operation going over how he would perform the operation. His attitude and demeanor again filled me with confidence. The operation went extremely well and I am sure this was one of the reasons my recovery was rapid and totally pain free. I can not praise Mr Mahmud and the Spire Regency enough.
